Steven T. Elliott was born in Quantico, Virginia. He is currently the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at Wayne State College in Nebraska. His recent sculptures represent abstractions of nature and are inspired by patterns that are infinite and ever changing. He studies the relationship between nature and structural complexity, particularly relating to free form architecture, where lines and shapes are approximated in order to construct intricate geometric structures.
