Art Center’s ArtSplash is a family-centered art festival of exceptional quality that enriches our region’s quality of life by bringing the excitement of the visual arts to our community.

We are thrilled to be hosting the 30th Annual ArtSplash this coming Labor Day Weekend, August 31 and September 1, 2024, from 10:00am – 5:00pm. We are happy to announce we will again hold the festival downtown on the Art Center campus this year! We are particularly excited to showcase our facilities to all the people of Siouxland: The Atrium and galleries of the Art Center, the studios of the Gilchrist Learning Center…they will all be utilized so we can have a fantastic festival! All your favorite festival folks will be there, and all the things you love about ArtSplash will be happening. We have exciting things planned and cannot wait for you to join us! ArtSplash is a project of the Sioux City Art Center. Proceeds fund education and exhibition programs and help the Sioux City Art Center remain free to the public.


Paul Imholte

Folk musician Paul Imholte performs traditional American, Celtic, and original music on a dozen string instruments. One of those instruments is the hammered dulcimer, a trapezoid-shaped instrument struck with light hammers producing an enchanting sound. Along with the dulcimer, Paul plays fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, cello, autoharp, and harmonica.

Amazing Arthur

Arthur is a professional speaker and entertainer with an eclectic mix of skills honed over 25 years. His journey started in Nebraska, where a simple magic show sparked a lifelong passion for the stage. Today, Arthur blend comedy, magic, juggling, hypnosis, audience participation and so much more into unforgettable experiences. As a former teacher, Arthur brings the growth mindset to every stage he takes -showing audiences that they are indeed AMAZING!

Lil' Red and the Medicated Moose Band

Lil Red and the Medicated Moose Band has been taking Sioux City by storm as of late with multiple performances on the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino stage. The band consists of the duo of Husband and Wife Singer/Songwriters Tiffany (Lil Red) and Bryan (The Medicated Moose) Jurries. Finished off with the beats and Rhythm of Matt VM. Mix them all together you have all the love and volatility of a marriage brought to you in acoustic form.

Andrew Hoyt

Hailing from the lively city of Des Moines, IA, Andrew Hoyt is the real deal—a singer/songwriter with roots deeply intertwined in the vibrant heart of the Midwest. He’s all about embracing his artistic side and isn’t afraid to let his creative juices flow. Now, a notable facet of Andrew’s musical journey centers around his partnership with the prestigious Hawaiian KoAloha ukulele.

Noah Towns & Chandler Todd - Dueling Pianos

Pianists and singers Noah Towns and Chandler Todd join ArtSplash with Dueling Pianos! They play piano rock and requests including Billy Joel, Elton John, Queen, Ray Charles, Ben Folds, MeatLoaf and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Luke Dawson

Luke Dawson, based in Sioux City, Iowa, puts a fresh twist on singer-songwriter classics and B-sides. Blending indie, country, bluegrass, and folk, Luke covers legends like Dylan, Simon, Cash, Prine, and James Taylor. Weaving in selections from Isbell, CCR, MJ, and Swift results in an eclectic musical experience spanning genres and generations

We are thrilled to hold the ArtSplash Kid’s Art Zone in the (air-conditioned) Gilchrist Learning Center this year! Pop in to flex those creative muscles!

The Kid’s Fun Zone is awesome again this year! Amazing Arthur is back, along with face painting by Rainbow Trout and Friends! (You can also check out Amazing Arthur on the Main Stage at 12:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday!)

Razzle Dazzle is an unforgettable presentation of a collectively produced textile installation led by the Brooklyn-based artist Amanda Browder. Come by, meet Amanda, and learn more about this exciting project!

Engage the Community 2024

Engage the Community is an informative and interactive area, taking place in the Sioux City Art Center’s Atrium and along 2nd Street, that allows for the Art Center to support other community partners in their initiatives to better our community. Visit their booths to learn more about these organizations and take part in the fun! Thank you to empirical foods for sponsoring this area!
