Workshops, Classes, and Tutoring

The Sioux City Art Center seeks qualified instructors to help expand workshop and class offerings at the Gilchrist Learning Center. We seek instructors to teach a variety of art skills and levels for children and adults.

The Art Center provides a welcoming environment that encourages lifelong education, celebrates thoughtful experimentation, and offers accessible opportunities for making personal discoveries that are fun and fulfilling. The Gilchrist Learning Center offers a variety of programs such as classes, private lessons, workshops, and summer camps. We would like to hear from you if you have the passion, skills, and ideas to create and expand offerings at the learning center.

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the Education Coordinator, develop engaging educational activities that strive to match our values. Develop lessons and lead course or workshops as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, apprenticeship, or extensive professional training in an art-focused discipline. Possess an enthusiasm for teaching. Experience with classroom management skills. Willingness to challenge, engage, and communicate with students to encourage learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
