Siouxland Artists, Inc. is an organization of regional artists dedicated to fostering the development of art and spreading the appreciation of art throughout the community. For over 63 years, members of the organization have met monthly to share ideas through discussions, programs, and demonstrations. Membership in Siouxland Artists is open to artists of all backgrounds, from those holding advanced degrees to those who are just beginning to discover their love for creating art.

Joanne Alberda, the juror for this year’s exhibition, had this to say about selecting the artwork and the awards: “Congratulations to the members of Siouxland Artists for their fine work this past year. I appreciate the honor of your invitation to adjudicate this year’s exhibition. It’s always challenging to make comparisons of works in different media, but interesting, too. I hope that I have made good choices in my selection of works for honors, and I look forward to meeting all of you at the presentation of the awards.”

Joanne Alberda is a fiber artist and a long-time college art instructor. The reception for this exhibition will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
