Xavier Tavera: Borderlands
Oct. 30, 2025 – March 29, 2026
Opening reception, Oct. 30, 5 – 7 p.m.
Artist talk, 6 p.m.
Begun in 2016, this series of photographs documents the people and places that define life along the border. Rather than portraying the border as a fixed line, Xavier invites viewers to see it as a layered and evolving space shaped by history and overlapping cultures. This is the first time Xavier’s Borderlands photographs have been presented in a museum, and we’re thrilled to debut them at the Sioux City Art Center.
